Shady Bard album out soon; gigs
The really rather nice band Shady Bard have their debut album coming out on 28 May, with fancy digital downloads available from 14 May. To celebrate this they're going on a hefty nationwide tour, and selling iron-on patches just like what you used to get with the Wombles on in the seventies. They're also playing the Supersonic festival in July, at which a growing diskant massive will be in attendance.

Event Watch: CHINCHILLA FEST 5
The annual Chinchilla Fest looks better every year and yet I still keep missing it. Three days of the best new UK bands including Quack Quack, Bilge Pump, Trencher, Printed Circuit, Kling Klang, Man Aubergine, Pifco and tons more. It takes place over 2-4 March at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds and you can get a weekend ticket for a mere £15.
